There is no lack of fun bars in Miami but the Wynwood district is where it is all happening. Wynwood is the world – famous for its colorful murals, the best street artists, fabulous craft breweries in converted warehouses, funky art galleries, quirky clothes boutiques and, of course, hip and trendy Wynwood bars.

If you are hanging out in Wynwood and feasting your eyes and your soul on so much art, you will eventually get thirsty and hungry. Here are some of the most popular Wynwood bars, bistros and lounges where the hip crowd hangs out.
Wynwood Bars
Gramps
A large orange box promising “air conditioning, cold beer and cocktails” does not inspire confidence if you are out for some good fun in Wynwood. And Wynwood invented good fun. Have faith. Gramps is the king of the Wynwood bar scene and has earned a reputation as one of the best outdoor music venues in Miami.

Gramps has three distinct areas: The main room with a long bar, cozy booths, and vintage arcade games. Smaller, intimate Shirley’s is the venue for smaller shows. A spacious patio, with a covered dance floor, one more bar, and a pizza stand is where they have big shows. And big shows they have, with a nightly roster of great musicians.
Music is not all that is happening at Gramps. They have trivia, bingo, movie nights, comedy acts, alligator wrestling and who knows what will they come up with next.
If all that is not enough, come on Thursday. They call it Double Stubble, the bar’s big dance party and drag show.
To call the atmosphere quirky would be an understatement. Mismatched furniture, a bunch of vintage but very popular video games, and an outrageous outdoor tiki bar are the backgrounds to what you came for: great live music and plenty to drink. And they have whatever your heart desires.
There is just about anything to drink you can imagine: PBR by the can, local beers from Cigar City Brewing and Funky Buddha by the pint, sparkly wines, sake on tap, and funky creative cocktails.
You will not starve at Gramps. Pizza Tropical, located in the main room, offers Brooklyn-style pizzas, considered among the best in town.

The Sylvester
The regulars say that if you have to be stuck somewhere during a hurricane, The Sylvester is probably your best bet. This popular bar is not ashamed of its Florida vibe – pink flamingoes wallpaper is in your eye. But the place is cozy, the seating is very comfortable and the table lamps create the atmosphere of a posh club.

Their cocktails are cutting edge and there are a lot of them. Try Floradora (Ketel One Grapefruit, Rose Botanical, Raspberry, Cocchi Rosa, Q Hibiscus Ginger Beer.)
The food is fabulous. Chicken liver mousse, smoked white fish, sausage board, pastrami medianoche and such. All are made of locally sourced sustainable ingredients.
You can dance to the funky music or you can play pool.
They are open until three in the morning.

SHOTS Miami
If you are not into shots, skip this hot Wynwood nightspot. Because shots are their world. All sorts of shots and tomorrow they will come up with the new ones.
View this post on Instagram
Shots Miami is considered a hot, trendy bar for more than its shots. It is lively, colorful and hopping on most nights. There is indoor and outdoor space with an open dance floor and fun décor such as colorful umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. A lot of seating places but you have to grab them in time. Murals everywhere make sure you do not forget you are in a Wynwood bar.
Music varies from day to day. On weekdays and Sundays the beat is Latin. On the weekends it is Latin in the inside bar and diverse outside. Thursdays and Sundays expect a Caribbean party.
The multiple bars both indoors and outdoors make sure you can get your shots without having to wait too long.

This popular hookah bar and lounge is located in the heart of Wynwood. It offers a pleasant, relaxing space indoor and outdoor to hook yourself to some hookah or grab a good cigar.

The roster of live music groups makes it a hotspot for the weekend crowd. Here you can meet just about anyone: tourists, office workers having a few cocktails after work, town fashionistas and of course the local art crowd.
