Hours: Tues-Sun: 4 PM – 10 PM, Closed Mondays

We begin with not only one of the best Dallas rooftop restaurants but what’s considered its best Italian restaurant too. It’s called Terilli’s, and it’s a perfect mix of classic Italian and uniquely Texas style.

It’s known for its “italchos”, or Italian nachos, which are basically crispy pizza chips. They also have all of the classic dishes you’d expect at an Italian place, such as Fettucine Alfredo and picattas.

Their menu also features things such as pork shank with white whine and steak with lobster tails. And all in a gorgeous atmosphere of tables and comfortable sofas you can relax on while gazing at the city.

There are often live music performances as well. On cool evenings, there are even a number of fire-pits and heaters to add to the ambiance. Meanwhile, on warm evenings, you might want to cool off with their variety of 17 ice cold martini options.

Hours: Mon – Wed: 11 AM-Midnight, Thurs – Fri: 11 AM-2 AM; Sat: 10 AM-2 AM; Sun: 10 AM-12 AM

In Spanish, Vidorra means “good life”. That makes it the perfect name for the next in our list of rooftop restaurants. Dallas has many places to dine with a view but few are as colorful as Vidorra.

Filled with beautiful tiles and huge murals, this Tex-Mex place pays tribute to Mexico City. Amongst the scrumptious dishes on the menu, some of the most popular are their tacos, queso, and smothered chicken burrito.

You can enjoy them as a laidback afternoon meal or come at night when it becomes a lively bar/dance destination. In fact, you can even learn to dance at Vidorra! Against the backdrop of the beautiful Dallas skyline, they offer salsa lessons some nights.

Another lovely feature is the retractable roof, meaning that even on a rainy day you can still enjoy the view. You can find photos and more information on their Instagram and Facebook.

When people speak of rooftop restaurants in Dallas, it’s hard for HG Sply Co. to not immediately spring to mind. Its large roof deck is practically heaving with tables so there’s almost always room. There are umbrellas everywhere as well, providing plenty of shade.

HG Sply Co.’s menu is famed for providing delicious food that’s also health-conscious. You can feel like you’re indulging while actually eating things that are good for you. In addition to their famous Backyard Burger, they have create-your-own protein bowls as well as salads.

(877) 832-8723

Hours: Mon – Thurs: 11 AM-10 PM, Fri: 11 AM-Midnight, Sat: 10 AM-Midnight, Sun: 10 AM-10 PM

The Granada Theater is one of Dallas’ most popular places for live entertainment. Situated right by it is Sundown at Granada, one of our favorite rooftop restaurants. Dallas’ Granada boasts great theatre, but you don’t need to have tickets to enjoy Sundown’s food and view.

If you do, however, it’s the perfect place for pre- or post-show meals and drinks. The bar offers more than 60 cocktails and craft beers. The brunch time mimosas are also delightful. Meanwhile, the menu includes a broad selection of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.

We can also highly recommend the turkey meatloaf, spicy southwestern quinoa, and smoked brisket tacos.

Few of the rooftop restaurants in Dallas offer as many options for people with dietary restrictions. Here, you don’t have to compromise your health or values to have a delicious meal while enjoying a breathtaking view. Lower Greenville stretches out beneath you on this beautiful terrace covered with wood.

(214) 624-3310

Hours: Wed – Thurs: 4 PM-10 PM, Fri: 3 PM-1 AM, Sat-Sun: 10 AM-1 AM, Closed Mon & Tues

The next in our list of the best rooftop restaurants in Dallas is actually part of a huge complex. Harlowe MXM is an ultra sleek and modern environment made up of various, distinct areas.

The inside’s design is very deconstructed and trendy, full of exposed beams. The rooftop terrace on the outside maintains that level of cool while also feeling comfortable and homey. It’s known for its large communal tables and squishy sofas, and breathtaking views. There’s also live music most nights.

Its menu is not really for the vegans and vegetarians amongst us. It’s largely dominated by seafood and meat. We can particularly recommend their big, juicy burgers and succulent lobster rolls.

They also have a wide variety of wines, and a selection of international lagers and beers. They’re also famous for their fantastic cocktails and frozen drinks, including some great creations of their own.

27th Floor, 2201 N Stemmons Fwy

(214) 761-7479

Hours: Tues – Thurs: 5 PM-10 PM, Fri-Sat: 5 PM-11 PM, Closed Mondays

Dallas has quite a healthy number of rooftop restaurants. Dallas has few, however, that offer quite as jawdropping a view as SĒR Steak + Spirits does. This is because it’s located on the Hilton Anatole’s 27th floor, giving you a wide panoramic view of the entire city.

The restaurant’s gorgeous glass windows go up from the floor to the ceiling. This means there’s absolutely nothing to obstruct your heartstopping view of Dallas in full and from every angle. SĒR Steak + Spirits is a formal restaurant with a dress code, so it’s a bit pricier, but it’s worth it.

Not only is the view absolutely stunning but the food is as well. Their menu features the best steaks in Dallas. The Wagyu carpaccio, Prime Rib Eye, and chops are absolutely delicious. If you’re not in the mood for steak, there’s also mouthwatering seafood options and more.

By the way, if you’re wondering how to pronounce the name of the restaurant, it’s “sear”, as in the scrumptious steaks they sear up.

Hours: Mon – Fri: 3 PM-2 AM, Sat – Sun: 10 AM-2 AM

The Quarter Bar is another of the best Dallas rooftop restaurants. It provides a lovely calming oasis above the bustling streets below. This picturesque restaurant’s roof deck is clad in ivy, making a beautiful atmosphere nestled amidst Dallas’ hustle and bustle.

It’s also particularly popular with people who live in the area so you’ll soak up a lot of local flavor. We do recommend you arrive early, however, as it does tend to get crowded, being a rather intimate space.

The bar’s popular drinks include Bourbon Street Bramble Whiskey and French Gin with bubbles and citrus. Another is the Frozen Hurricane, which has grenadine, dark rum, tropical fruit, and Bacardi. The Flasked Sazerac, with bitters, absinthe, and rye, is also a favorite amongst locals.

As far as food, the bar also offers a light menu. We highly recommend their Braised Pork Flatbread for a taste that’s as delicious as it is uniquely Dallas. Their Voodoo Fries are also extremely tasty.

Dallas is full of rooftop restaurants. Downtown Dallas has another one of the best, particularly if you love hamburgers: namely, Stackhouse! In fact, it’s received numerous awards for Dallas’ best burger, so you don’t have to take our word for it!

Their menu has other options as well, including a number of sandwiches and salads. If you want to try what they’re really known for, though, it’s burgers all the way. You can’t go wrong with one of their mouthwatering 6 ounce patties and cheese fries on the side!

And there are plenty of beer, wine, and cocktail options as well to wash them down.

And you get to enjoy this delectable grub while gazing at some truly stunning views of Dallas’ iconic skyline. Their rooftop terrace is handsomely built of wood and includes a lot of cozy seating. At night, artistic lanterns add to the ambiance along with the city lights below.

Hours: Lunch: Thurs – Fri: 11:30 AM-1:30 PM; Dinner: Tues – Thurs: 6 PM-9:30 PM, Fri – Sat: 5:30 PM-9:30 PM

One of the great things about Dallas dining is the variety of their styles of rooftop restaurants. Dallas’ best Japanese restaurant with this luxurious option is Tei-An, situated in the trendy downtown Arts District of the city.

It’s also rarely crowded because the rooftop here isn’t well known. In all honesty, to an extent this is due to the fact that their gorgeous terrace is members only.

However, if you keep an eye on their online updates, they have it open to the public on special occasions. And if you happen to be in Dallas on one of these dates, it’s a highly exclusive and worthwhile adventure.

You could also apply for membership if you’d like the chance to drink and dine while savoring its breathtaking views. The menu has a lot of delicious seafood on offer.

Their particular speciality are a number of soba noodle meals, some of which are hot and some cold. The omakase is also to die for.

10. Happiest Hour

(972) 528-0067

Hours: Mon – Wed: 4 PM-Midnight, Thurs – Fri: 4 PM-2 AM; Sat: 11 AM-2 AM, Sun: 11 AM-Midnight

One of the hugest rooftop restaurants in Dallas is Happiest Hour. It’s an absolutely sprawling restaurant with a seriously jaw-dropping twelve thousand square feet of space.

That includes indoor and outdoor space, and even at that, it’s so popular, it often completely fills on the weekend! Its name is also very fitting as it’s an extremely fun, joyful spot.

The food is delicious. Its menu features all sorts of Tex-Mex delights. The smoked brisket tacos are fantastic, and we’re also big fans of their crab mac n’ cheese.

It also has 50 beer options and a view of the city that is so up close and breathtaking, it can be called immersive. And you can enjoy all this while playing various board games that they have available.

It’s all part of the fun-loving atmosphere they cultivate there in their gorgeous, centrally-located establishment.

Hours: Mon – Wed: 11 AM-Midnight, Thurs – Fri: 11 AM-2 AM, Sat – Sun: 10 AM-2 AM

Stirr is one of our list’s most photogenic rooftop restaurants. Dallas has a lot of gorgeous views in general, but this place in particular really takes the cake.

Not only is the roof area itself gorgeous to look at but you get to see the Dallas skylines and the picture-perfect rooftops of Deep Ellum to boot. And the food… The menu is full of delicious dishes. They include the lamb pitas, ahi tuna tacos, and shrimp pappardelle.

If you want a particular great dessert treat, the giant donut holes are out of this world. They’re covered with sugar and stuffed with fillings such as Crème Anglaise and Nutella

What’s particularly great about Stirr is how unpretentious yet trendy it is. It’s cool and swank enough to be a great place for a date or business meal. At the same time, it’s comfortable enough to also go for casual drinks or a family dinner. And again, you can’t beat that view!

Another one of the best rooftop restaurants in Dallas is The Green Room. It isn’t the flashiest on our lists, being rather mellow and laidback, but it has excellent food and beautiful views.

The beautiful rooftop deck provides an awe-inspiring panorama of the Dallas skyline. It also thoughtfully has a number of glass screens which protect you from the sometimes dusty winds. You can appreciate the view without getting a mouth full of Texas dust.

The Green Room’s menu is also full of great beer and food options. Our favorites include the Blacktooth Burger and the Short Rib Texas Poutine. It provides a uniquely Texan twist on a Canadian staple.

The prices are also extremely affordable. So you can fill up on food and drink, and experience Dallas from above without breaking the bank. During Happy Hour, beer and wine is only $3 a glass! This happens every weekday evening and on Sundays.

(469) 313-1524

Hours: Mon – Sun: Lunch: 11 AM-3 PM, Dinner: 3 PM-9:30 PM

Sky Blossom Rooftop Bistro is another one of our favorite of the city’s rooftop restaurants. Dallas has a fun and bustling downtown, and SkyBlossom is one of the best ways to experience it from above.

Its terrace is smaller than some of the other restaurants’ but it has great views. One particular highlight is being able to see The Eye up close. This is a famous 3-story-tall eyeball sculpture that most people only get to experience from the street view. SkyBlossom allows you to see it from above.

It also has a fun, funky menu full of Vietnamese fusion cuisine, blended with some Chinese, Korean, and Thai inspiration for good measure. This includes pho, dumplings, shrimp tempura, blossom tacos, and bao. Even the cocktails are Asian infused, the best being the lychee martini.

You can find photos and more information on their Instagram and Facebook.

14. RH Rooftop Restaurant

3133 Knox St

(214) 520-7255

Hours: Mon – Sun: 10 AM-9 PM

Another of the most beautiful and best rooftop restaurants in Dallas is RH Rooftop Restaurant. The RH stands for Restoration Hardware, and it’s located on the top of the RH Gallery. If you want fine dining, glorious views, and style, this is the place for you.

Located on the building’s 3rd floor, the RH Rooftop Restaurant is jaw-dropping and lush. In addition to the Dallas view, you’re in an atmosphere of glittering chandeliers, olive trees, and gently tinkling fountains. All of this is surrounded by glass and steel architecture. It’s a truly luxurious experience.

People generally don’t think of the word “classy” when they think of Texas. This restaurant, however, proves that there’s glamor to found here too!

Meanwhile the menu is full of gourmet delicacies such as Charred Ribeye Steak and scrumptious lobster rolls. You could not ask for a more picture perfect experience with which to take in Dallas.

15. The Woolworth

The Woolworth Restaurant and Cocktail Bar Sign

(214) 814-0588

Hours: Tues – Thurs: 11 AM-Midnight, Fri: 11 AM-Midnight, Sat: 10 AM-Midnight, Closed Sun & Mon

Another of the Dallas rooftop restaurants with a great view of the Eye is The Woolworth. In addition to this, it provides beautiful views of a number of the nearby city parks. The rooftop patio is a popular spot for meals and drinks, often full of people into the wee hours.

People consider the Woolworth to be a classic blend of the best in Texan culture within a more classy décor. The low lit wood interiors on the inside of the restaurant provide ambiance. And particularly at night, the terrace is cozy as it is trendy.

Its menu meanwhile is unpretentious and distinctly Texan. It has all of the steak, burger, and taco options that you’d expect, within an upscale atmosphere.

They also feature a truly impressive range of cocktails, beers, and wines. You can luxuriate on the deck, soaking up the view, environment, and buzz in genuine style.

 16. Vetted Well

1005 S Lamar St

(214) 914-4443

Hours: Sun – Wed: 11 AM-Midnight, Thurs – Sat: 11 AM-2 AM

And now we come to the last but not least of our rooftop restaurants Dallas features, Vetted Well. Many people consider it one of the best, in fact.

It’s located right above the extremely popular Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, which certainly adds to its appeal. You can grab food and drinks at this laidback bar either before your film starts or for a post-screening discussion. Meanwhile, you have breathtaking Dallas views surrounding you.

Because it’s located within a cinema, it also has the benefit of not being very tourist-heavy. It’s a great way to enjoy the city with authentic Dallas residents and less crowding.

Their menu is all movie-theatre-inspired as well. It’s full of classic sweet treats, popcorn, hot dogs, and burgers. And for an extra fun late night, they have 4 karaoke rooms, each with its own theme!
