Let’s begin with one of the largest outdoor markets in the area: Moreland Flea Market. The traditional open-air market in Atlanta, Georgia, is open every Saturday and Sunday from April to December.
Located in the historic Old Fourth Ward, Moreland is known for its abundance of used goods across all categories. Best of all, it’s pretty central since it is only a mile away from the stunning Moreland, Georgia.
It is the perfect place to hunt for vintage items, especially furniture and clothes. If you have a good eye, you may even score some antiques and vintage art.
Sweeties Flea Market
Another must-visit sizeable outdoor market is Sweeties Flea Market which is located in Atlanta itself. Located at 2855 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30318, it is the home of several vendors and offers a variety of used and new merchandise.
If you want a fun place to spend a weekend, this is the market to check out. Founded in 1988, the market is the largest flea market in the state.
With over a million visitors walking through the market every year, it’s pretty apparent why it is a tourist hotspot. Thus it makes sense that the market carries unique souvenirs and trinkets sprinkled among the antiques and other goods.
The Sweeties flea market opens at 8 AM on Saturdays, but locals advise arriving earlier because the parking lot gets full really fast. Parking is free, but please note that there is quite a walk to the actual flea market from the parking.
La Vaquita Flea Market
Next, let’s visit the flea market that’s breaking through the stereotypes. La Vaquita Flea Market is proving that flea markets often offer unique and interesting things that one would not find anywhere else.
Boasting over five hundred vendors from all over the world and more than seven hundred selling spaces, La Vaquita Flea Market, also known as The Pendergrass Flea Market, is the largest flea market in Georgia. It is also the oldest continuously working flea market in the country.
The market has everything from new and second-hand items to seasonal vegetables, freshly made food, and handmade jewelry, among a vast selection of other niche items. There are different sections within the market, and each section has different groups of sellers and things, so make sure you come wearing walking shoes to explore everything.
Open every Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM all year; the market is conveniently close to Atlanta and near the Jefferson Flea Market, which we will talk about later.
The colossal building is impossible to miss if you drive south from downtown Atlanta on Interstate 20. It’s a very short drive to the market from both Atlanta and Pendergrass but falls under Pendergrass, Georgia, in Clayton County.

Located in South Georgia, the flea market is just off Interstate 75 and exit 5. Since it’s been around for well over 30 years, it is a well-established market with four barns filled with a hundred and ninety stalls.
It also boasts seven cabins, four buildings, and sixty-yard sale tables under the stunning oak trees. But, if I’m honest, besides the bargains, the brilliant food court made me add this flea market to my list.
Visitors can start their day with a full breakfast from as early as 7 AM and then indulge in a full lunch menu. Its vast selection of fresh pork rinds, fresh bread, and pastries is the answer to any cravings. Plus, the snack section, with its selection of funnel cakes, snow cones, and fresh fruit cups, will make any foodie drool.
Once your tummy is full, explore each unique stand and hunt down the best deals for everything from toys to costume jewelry and tools.
Unique Treasures Flea Market
The Unique Treasures Flea Market is next on the list of places to check out if you’re on the hunt for bargains at flea markets in Atlanta, Georgia.
The market boasts tons of antique gems and unique gifts, as well as hand-crafted items from local artisans and products from farmers that you won’t find in regular stores.
Fancy stuff aside, this is also the perfect place to look for everyday items at discount prices. While you won’t score any collectibles or clothing at the market, doing some shopping for decor or hardware is a great idea.

Jefferson Flea Market
Calling my fellow bargain lovers, this is the market you do not want to miss. A little bit outside of Atlanta is The Jefferson Flea Market, and it promises bargains aplenty.
Boasting a massive selection of new and used items, this is the place to shop for your fashion must-haves. Best of all, you don’t need to splurge on branded items because the market is well known for its designer clothing and accessories dupes.
Open on a Thursday and Friday from 11 AM to 6 PM for inside stalls and Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 6:30 PM for both inside and outside stalls; you can check out the market on the first day and make a list of everything you want then come back the next day to actually shop.

The market, which is open every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, is not located in Atlanta but near Marietta Square in Marietta, Georgia.
Boasting over 450 vendor booths, the market has a whopping variety of antiques, collectibles, crafts, furniture, and many stores of clothing, jewelry, and yard art.
It also offers some stalls selling home décor, tools, vintage records, and pottery, etc. According to locals, you can also often score some rare and precious collectibles and items.
Georgia Mountain Market
Another great way to spend a day even if there is miserable weather is the Georgia Mountain Market. A quick stroll from the town of Clayton sits the massive forty-five thousand square foot flea market.
The wide variety of booths and stores operate every Friday to Sunday for the entire year and boast everything from bric-a-brac to ornaments.
Not to mention there are also vendors selling electronics, clothing, and antiques, among various other things. But the star of the show at the market is actually for the Foodies.
Hidden within the bustling market is one of the most popular places to eat in the area: Wicked Pig. The excellently named eatery is renowned for its authentic Southern dishes that warm even the most jaded soul.

My first pick is the aptly named Smiley’s Flea Market. The large outdoor market has a large variety of vendors who offer a variety of items.
Open every Saturday; the market is located in a bustling part of southwest Georgia known as the Chattahoochee Valley.
The excellent location means that there is constant foot traffic, especially since it is just ten miles away from downtown Columbus, Georgia.
It has become a known stop for tourists to visit when they shop for vintage items and antiques. It’s a great bonus that the atmosphere and food are also delicious. I highly recommend visiting the Southern Kitchen when you check out the market.
Peachtree Peddlers Flea Market & Antique Centre
Another famed and loved outdoor market in Georgia is Peachtree Peddlers. Located in Peachtree City near Sam’s Club, Georgia, the market is renowned for its variety of antiques and collectibles.
Open since the 1980’s the market may have grown in popularity but somehow maintains its local, family-run appeal. The market is owned by the Hunter family, who lives on the flea market grounds. Two of the family members are always available during the open season to help where possible.
This isn’t the market for anyone looking for a glamorous or dramatic experience. However, if you, like me, love the idea of strolling through the kind of market where everyone knows everyone else, this is the perfect one for you.
It’s a small bonus that you don’t have to venture too far out of Atlanta to enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere on a warm Saturday afternoon.
I-75 Flea Market
If you are willing to make the ninety-minute drive down interstate 75, it’s worth visiting the I-75 Flea Market. Especially if you are on the hunt for great vintage and antique items to decorate your home.
The Georgia Peach is a highly frequented location since it sits on the busy I-75. This particular flea market has been in business since 1959.
Vendors boast stunning new and gently-used items. However, aside from shopping, it’s also a great market to simply walk around and soak in the classic flea market vibe.
Online Flea Market In Atlanta, Georgia
If you’re not feeling very social or struggling with a bout of social anxiety but still yearn to shop at a flea market, why not try an online one? I found one that particularly intrigued me.
Atlanta Metro GA Online Flea Market
I recently stumbled across the Atlanta Metro GA Online Flea Market Facebook page and immediately knew it deserved a spot on my list.
The online flea market invites Atlanta-based people to shop local wares from the comfort of their homes. With the aim to help support local businesses, individuals, and brand representatives, it offers everything from puppies to boots.
Businesses or vendors looking to advertise their wares will need to pay $10 a month or $40 for six months. A small price to pay for great exposure locally, I think.

Just forty-five minutes north of Atlanta lies The West Georgia Flea Market. The market is near Highway 11 and Highway 27 in Forsyth, Georgia.
Since it is only open on weekends, it’s the perfect chance to take a mini road trip and explore other sites along the way. The flea market itself is an eclectic collection of everything and anything.
From antiques to handmade crafts and even brand new items, there’s something extraordinary for everyone. The over eighty-year-old market is located in Macon on the corner of Airport Rd and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
Aside from toys, clothes, or antiques, the market is also known for its divine food options, including barbecue and hot dogs.
I highly advise visiting on the first Saturday of the month when the flea market is filled to the brim with great deals and a bustling crowd.
J&J Flea Market
Last on my list is the J&J Flea Market which is open every weekend from 8 AM- 5 PM. The market boasts a massive one thousand two hundred selling spaces for vendors to sell everything from old, used stuff to new stuff.
You might even find fishing gear and home decor if you look through the stalls carefully enough. The market sometimes even has pets and pet stuff on sale!
The market located on 11661 Commerce Rd, Athens, GA 30607, is the perfect place to find vintage sunglasses and even a stereo. So take the trip and see what fantastic treasures you might score.
