However, if you are a tourist, you probably don’t know in which months Texas experiences winter.

So, for those of you who don’t know yet, winter takes place in Texas from the 24th of November to the 20th of February.

However, you still aren’t likely to encounter snow in all of these months

. You’ll have to plan carefully so that you visit Texas during the winter months that are likely to bring about snowfall.

These months include December, January, and February. In other words, I wouldn’t recommend visiting Texas in November if you’re hoping to see snow.

The great news is that since December is one of the months in which Texas is likely to experience snow, you may just be able to have a white Christmas with your family.

How awesome is that? So, in a nutshell, if you are hoping to see Texas turn into a winter wonderland, I highly recommend scheduling your trip for December, January, or February.

Guadalupe Mountains National Park is a beautiful park with breathtaking forestry and mountain views.

As we have already established, the higher you go the colder it gets, and the colder it gets the more it snows.

Well, did you know that Guadalupe Mountains National Park is one of the highest points in the whole of Texas?

It sure is! The mountains have an elevation level of 8,751 feet which is quite high, to say the least.

There are plenty of fun things that you can do in the park as well. If you’re willing to brave the cold, you can go for a hike up one of the mountains to get a better view of the park.

Just be sure to bring along a warm coat, hat, scarf, and gloves since the temperature will be freezing.

Unfortunately, the hiking trail is not for the faint-hearted. It’s considered to be quite strenuous and moderately difficult.

So, it will definitely put your fitness levels to the test.

If you want to see snow in Guadalupe Mountains National Park, the best time to visit is during January when the area is at its coldest.

This is when you’ll see the park turn into a winter wonderland. Believe me, when the park is covered in snow it truly becomes a sight to behold.
