The largest downtown Denver skatepark, Denver Skate Park is also the biggest skate park in Colorado. This 60,000 square-foot concrete skateboarding heaven is welcoming skaters of any level of experience – boarders, bikers and bladers.

Central Park Skatepark

Also called Greenway Skatepark because it is located in GreenWay Park, Central Park is a small neighborhood skatepark with one concrete bowl, a ramp and a few rails.

Central Park Skatepark - Best skateparks in Denver

One of the most popular Denver skate parks with local inline skaters, skateboarders, young and old, beginners and pros. Kids find it fun and doable and the more experienced skateboarders find it fun but not challenging. It is near the local school so it is a family-kind of park.

The park is open every day from 7 am to 10 pm. Keep in mind that there are no lights in the park so skating after dark is not really optimal.

Sheridan Skatepark

Sheridan Skatepark opened in 2004 in Sheridan Recreation Center. It is an 8,000 square-foot concrete park with a 6’ by 4’bowl that runs into the street course. It also has two sets of stairs with rails. There are rails of various sizes, a pyramid in the center of the course, a rock gap and ledges with sharp metal edges.

Hyland Hills Skatepark

Hyland Hills Skatepark is a 10,000 square feet concrete surface Denver skate park located in the Sports complex in Hyland Hills Park in Federal Heights, Colorado. It is fun to watch the local experienced, and not so experienced, boarders fly through bowls, hills and rails.

Montbello Skatepark

Montbello Skatepark is a concrete 14,000 sq. ft. outdoor skate park located in Denver’s Montbello Recreation Center. The park was opened in 2011. It is open to skateboards, rollerblades, BMXs and scooters, so it can get crowded. Pads are required.

The park is open 24 hours, every day and is free of charge. It has no lights.

Elyria Park

Located in Denver’s Elyria Johnson / Swansea Park, Elyria Park is a rare prefabricated 1,500 sq. ft Denver skate park. It consists of a back and forth run, a quarter pipe and a flat bank located on the sides of a fun box. It has no lights.

Edgewater Skate Park

Located in the Walker Branch Park, Edgewater Skate Park is a concrete park with an open bowl with a few built-in street elements. This Denver skate park is very popular with the local kids and as it is part of the community park, you can often see whole families watching skateboarders of various skill levels attempting the obstacles.

Located in the Link Park, next to the Lakewood Link Recreation Center, Lakewood Link skate park is a 5,000 sq. ft. concrete skatepark. Popular with the local skateboarders, both beginners and those with intermediate skills.

This Denver skate park is not challenging enough for the pros, but it has enough features for all the others: a few street elements such as rails, stairs, ramps, and walls.

The skatepark is nicely integrated into the rest of the park, showing that it is an accepted part of the community’s outdoor activities.

The park is open from dawn to dusk. There are no lights.

Safety equipment such as helmets and knee and wrist pads are strongly encouraged.

Dayton Skatepark is a 2,000 sq. ft. concrete skatepark located in Aurora’s City Park. It was opened in 2011. It is made of concrete and features several street obstacles.

Green Valley Ranch Skatepark

The Green Valley Ranch Skatepark is a 2,000 sq. ft. concrete skatepark in Town Center Park in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. It is enjoyed by riders of all ages and ski levels.

The park, which was opened in 2011, has a nice balance of bowled flow and street plaza design. It offers bowls, stairs, ramps, curbs and rails. Everyone’s favorite is the mini ramp, with a great width to slide and grind.

The park is open every day, 24 hours a day, and is free of charge. There are no lights.

Aurora Skatepark

Located in the Wheel Park in Aurora, this 19,775 square-foot well-lit concrete Denver skate park features some interesting features. It has a street skating course and a 10-foot bowl.

The street skating section has diverse banked and transitioned obstacles. The street section features three fun boxes of different sizes, two slider bars made of metal, a runway section with a hip and a jib and mini transitioned edges with metal coping.

The park is not small but it is popular and it can get crowded. You can spot some really experienced people practicing and impressing everyone.

The park is open daily from 8 am to sunset.

Lafayette Skatepark

The Lafayette Skatepark in Bob L Burger Recreation Center in Lafayette, Colorado, has a surface that is a mix of granite, marble and concrete. This well-lit Denver skate park covers 19,000 square feet; a 6,500 feet bowl structure and 12,500 of the streetscape.

The park is open from 7 am to 9 pm and is free of charge.

Best Skateparks in Colorado

Memorial Skatepark, Colorado Springs, CO

At 40,000 square feet of space, Memorial Skatepark in Colorado Springs is the second biggest skate park in Colorado.

Located in Memorial Park, the park has impressive features such as a mix of bowls and a street course. It even has a pavilion for spectators.

The park is free of charge and is open from 8 am to 10 pm. It has no light. Pads are not required but are recommended.

Arvada Skatepark

At 40,000 sq. ft., Arvada Skatepark is the third biggest skate park in the country. It is located in APEX Center and has hosted some large skating events.

The skate park is made of concrete and offers some incredible features: a snake run, one large bowl, one intermediate bowl, q street plaza with pads, banks, ledges, rails, granite pieces, step-ups, benches, stair set, Jersey barrier, a pyramid and a brick-stamped China bank.

Bikes are allowed. It also has a beginner’s area. It is considered one of the best skateparks in Colorado.

The park is open daily from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm and is well lit. It is free of charge and the visitors are to bring their own equipment.

Railbender Skatepark

Railbender Skatepark is a 33,000 square foot lighted concrete skatepark located in Railbender Park in Parker, Co.

The park offers a street plaza with rails, ledges, stairs, manual pads, and a volcano. In addition, the park features a flow bowl with a roll, a spine, hips and roll-overs.

Littleton Skatepark

This 20,000-square-foot skatepark located in Cornerstone Park in Littleton has some impressive features such as a four-foot pyramid, a two-foot fun box, a three-foot box, an eight-foot long start ramp, 4’ and 6’ flat, curved hips, grinding rails and stairs.
